About the team
The Liquidity Platform sits at the heart of Airwallex's financial infrastructure, making sure that money is always in the right place, at the right time, and used in the most effective way. The team manages liquidity across both customer-held funds and Airwallex's own funds, spanning safeguarding, rebalancing, cash investments, bank account management, counterparty risk, and the data foundations that power all of it.
We automate complex, cross-regional financial operations at scale, managing funds efficiently, securely, and intelligently with an AI-native mindset. This is what enables Airwallex to enter new markets confidently, meet regulatory standards across diverse markets, and improve financial performance as the platform grows.
What you’ll do
As Senior Product Manager, Technical Programs (Liquidity Platform), you will own a critical part of Airwallex’s Liquidity Platform. You will define strategy, shape roadmap, and drive execution with a primary focus on safeguarding. At Airwallex's scale, safeguarding is far more than a compliance requirement. It is a core product capability that enables new market entry, underpins the trust of hundreds of thousands of businesses, and unlocks real operational efficiency and material financial return. Beyond safeguarding, you will also own bank account lifecycle management, counterparty risk monitoring, and play a key role in building AI-powered liquidity insights.
You will work closely with Engineering, Finance, Compliance, Financial Partnerships, and banking partners to translate regulatory, operational, and financial requirements into scalable platform capabilities. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys ambiguity, leads with ownership, and is motivated by solving structural problems in a fast-moving fintech environment.
Responsibilities
Own product strategy, roadmap, and execution for key areas within the Liquidity Platform, with a primary focus on safeguarding and adjacent risk and control capabilities.
Design and deliver compliant, scalable safeguarding automation to support new market launches and maintain accurate, up-to-date product logic as regulations evolve.
Identify and drive structural improvements to safeguarding operations, including buffer management, FX exposure management, and interest returns on safeguarded cash.
Own the roadmap for bank account management across account opening, changes, and closure, improving reliability of bank account data foundation and reducing manual overhead as Airwallex’s partner network grows.
Build systematic product capabilities for counterparty risk management, helping Airwallex proactively monitor and mitigate unintended exposure to partner banks, before risk crystallises into losses.
Drive the development of intelligent cash reporting and analytics capabilities, giving Finance an accurate view of current positions as well as reliable forecasts.
