We have recently been appointed fund manager for two new WA Government VC funds and awarded a major corporate VCaaS mandate in Western Australia. - Participate in deal negotiation, structuring and closing alongside Artesian Partners.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify value-creation opportunities, and assist portfolio companies with growth and follow-on funding.
Ecosystem & Community
- Build and maintain strong relationships within WA’s startup, investor and research communities.
- Represent Artesian at industry events, panels and forums.
- Deliver founder and investor engagement initiatives that grow Artesian’s visibility and deal flow in WA.

- Collaborate with Artesian’s operations team on reporting, marketing, and strategy development.
You’re ambitious, analytical, and entrepreneurial - someone who combines financial rigour with curiosity and a genuine passion for innovation. You thrive on autonomy, enjoy building relationships, and want to play a hands-on role in growing Western Australia’s venture ecosystem.
You will ideally bring:
- 5–10 years’ experience in an investment, strategy, or operational role - whether in venture capital, private equity, consulting, investment banking, corporate innovation, or startup leadership.
- Strong financial and analytical capability, with experience in research, modelling, and commercial evaluation of opportunities across diverse sectors.
- The ability to connect with founders, investors, corporates, and government stakeholders, and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively to different audiences.
- A results-driven mindset - you take initiative, move fast, and deliver high-quality outcomes without needing close supervision.
- A strategic communicator who can manage complex relationships and align multiple interests to get deals done.
- A genuine passion for Western Australia’s growth, with curiosity for emerging technologies and the role venture capital can play across sectors such as energy, mining tech, health, space, defence, and agriculture.
- Ideally, an established local network - relationships with founders, researchers, investors, or industry leaders - and the confidence to represent Artesian across both startup and institutional settings.
- A global perspective and comfort operating across markets and disciplines, reflecting Artesian’s international platform and multi-asset focus.
- Above all, you’re a builder - someone who sees this as an opportunity not only to invest, but to help shape the future of WA’s innovation economy and grow Artesian’s presence across the state.
- Shape WA’s venture capital future. Play a leading role in deploying capital, building partnerships and developing new VCaaS mandates.
- Global platform, local ownership. Operate with autonomy in WA while collaborating with Artesian’s international investment teams.
