August Robotics is now planning to make Greece a key pillar of its European robotics strategy and is excited to open its new office in Athens. The expansion into Greece is part of its broader European robotics strategy, creating a unique opportunity for talented individuals to join at the early stage of the country’s emerging robotics industry.

THE ROLE

As a Robotics Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for deploying, operating, and maintaining our robots on customer sites, while also supporting projects across Europe, the UK, and the Middle East.

This is a highly hands-on role that sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and customer success. You will work directly with robotic systems in real-world environments to ensure successful deployments and strong customer experience.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Install, deploy and operate robotic systems on customer sites
  • Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to clients and partners
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs both in the field and at the workshop
  • Train customers on how to use and operate our robotic systems
  • Monitor robot performance and ensure successful execution on job sites
  • Collect customer feedback, escalate technical issues and work with internal teams to improve product features
  • Organize the workshop, in charge of spare parts inventory management
  • Troubleshoot and repair the robots with support from the engineering team to ensure operational readiness
  • Support a wide range of technical and operational tasks as needed

YOUR SKILLS

What we are looking for:

  • A technical / mechanical background and university degree or diploma from a higher vocational school in Engineering, Mechanics, or a related discipline
  • Basic understanding or strong interest in programming, Linux, and control systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Hands-on mindset with comfort working on physical hardware systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers
  • High level of ownership and accountability
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform light physical activity

You must have:

  • Eligibility to work in Greece and a valid driver’s license
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel as required

Nice to have:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in an engineering or technical role
  • Fluency in other European languages, especially Spanish, Italian or French. Proficiency in German is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to project-based work
