About the Role: Senior Project Manager
The primary focus of this role is to lead and manage the seamless installation and implementation of WiFi, People Counter, and LiDAR solutions, guiding projects from contract sign-off through to successful completion. You will serve as a key liaison, coordinating with both internal teams and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project milestones, ensuring full adherence to specifications and requirements, and proactively identifying potential issues.
When challenges arise, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders to develop effective solutions. You will also work alongside partner and client procurement teams to secure the necessary hardware, taking full ownership of the project delivery from start to finish. A strong focus on continuous improvement is integral to the role — the ideal candidate will be capable of independently recommending and implementing process enhancements that reduce project risks, accelerate timelines, optimize resources, and elevate client satisfaction.
This Senior Project Manager position is hybrid in nature. While you'll need to be in-office for hardware organization and shipping tasks as each project demands, you'll have the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Oversee the full lifecycle of projects, incorporating both hardware and software elements.
- Lead the development of Statements of Work (SOW) and assist with overall contract management.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects, adhering to specifications and staying within budget.
- Define and document project scope, goals, and objectives.
- Identify necessary resources and delegate tasks to team members accordingly.
- Develop and manage project timelines and budgets to ensure efficient execution.
- Create and implement communication strategies to provide regular updates to key stakeholders across the business.
- Continuously track project progress and ensure milestones are achieved on schedule.
- Proactively address issues through risk management and contingency planning, presenting solutions or options to senior management.
- Maintain consistent, reliable attendance, and remain accessible via email, instant messaging, and phone for remote communication, including occasional calls with US and Australian counterparts.
Skills Required:
1. Educational Background:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Knowledge of cloud computing, networking, and infrastructure.
- Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with systems architecture and APIs.
- Proven experience managing technical projects from initiation to closure.
- Expertise in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project, or equivalent).
- Ability to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Experience with resource allocation, budget management, and scheduling.
- Strong risk management and issue resolution skills.
- Ability to balance technical constraints and business requirements.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, designers, QA, and operations).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide technical teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, from engineers to executive management.
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Comfortable presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Ability to manage timelines, scope, and budget using Agile practices.
- Knowledge of project management frameworks such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Lean.
- Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- High-level familiarity with tools like Confluence, GitLab, GitHub, Slack, and Jenkins.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and mitigate risks.
- Analytical mindset to assess project health and identify areas for improvement.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions using project analytics and reports.
- 5+ years of experience managing technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with remote or distributed teams.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience working in the software development, SaaS, or IT industries is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certifications.
- ITIL Certification.
