We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. As a Senior Backend Developer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining new and existing applications that span across our portal and platform. This is a hands-on position in a cross-functional team; you will be providing elegant solutions to complex open-ended problems.

You will mostly be coding in Kotlin, utilizing GitHub and ArgoCD for CI/CD, and working with Spring, GraphQL, Kafka, and deployment to Kubernetes on AWS.

Skills & Experience

• Computer science or software engineering degree OR relevant industry experience
• 5+ years working as a software developer with Java or Kotlin server-side applications
• Experience working in a geographically dispersed, cross-functional, agile software delivery team on mission critical applications
• Proven success working on cloud native applications and solutions in an environment implementing CI/CD
• Strong multi-threading and concurrent programing knowledge
• Experience with Kafka or similar, and Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, etc.
• Relational database design experience
• Success designing and delivering REST based APIs
• Gradle/ Maven build tools
• Experience with Typescript, Javascript (React), Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, or GraphQL would be an advantage.

CAIS’ compensation package includes a market competitive salary, a performance bonus, and exceptional benefits. For candidates located in New York, New York, the base salary range for this role is $165,000 - $230,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
