We are seeking a Vice President of Manager Coverage to join our growing team in New York City. This high impact position will play a pivotal role in deepening relationships with new and existing asset managers on the CAIS platform during a transformative time for our growing business. As a liaison for asset manager distribution teams leveraging the CAIS platform, you will maintain regular touch points—keeping partners appraised of metrics, highlighting new or underutilized platform tools and capabilities, and by providing strategic insights that empower distribution teams to capitalize CAIS’ $4T independent wealth network. You bring a deep understanding of the independent wealth management space as well as expertise spanning a diverse range of alternative investment products. This highly collaborative position will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal outcomes for asset managers and CAIS alike.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact to both new and existing asset managers on the CAIS platform, collaborating with internal teams to facilitate a successful onboarding and ongoing experience
  • Build deep partnerships with manager distribution teams by embracing a consultative approach to understanding their goals, and sharing timely and relevant insights that aid their objectives
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to craft and implement strategies that align asset managers' distribution goals with the needs of independent wealth advisors, enhancing mutual success
  • Engage directly with partner firms, presenting data-driven insights that can help inform strategies to optimize fund raising efforts within the independent wealth management channel
  • Review platform engagement metrics with partner firms, highlighting new or underutilized platform tools or capabilities that can streamline workflows and increase penetration within the channel
  • Educate distribution teams on the benefits of working with CAIS, emphasizing the rigor of our due-diligence processes and ease of transaction experience
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to position products for the independent wealth channel, ensuring consistent and up-to-date messaging across collateral, campaigns, talking points and events
  • Empower distribution efforts through providing ongoing updates on key selling points based on investment strategies and macroeconomic trends
  • Support the planning and execution of manager roadshows and other engagement activities to boost visibility and interaction between key asset managers and wealth management firms
  • Acquire and maintain comprehensive expertise across all CAIS investment products and business areas
  • Maintain robust working relationships across teams including Operations, Marketing, Investments, Product and Technology to streamline product onboarding and manager integration processes
  • Take the lead on special projects, adapting roles and responsibilities to utilize personal strengths and skills

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relationship management, investor relations, business development or external sales experience covering national accounts in the alternative investment space
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related discipline required
  • Series 7 and 63 required
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Salesforce
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience at the intersection of asset management and independent wealth management
  • Demonstrated expertise spanning a broad and diverse range of alternative investment products
  • Ability to deliver a complex and varied product and technology offering to highly sophisticated clients
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining client relationships with key decision makers
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and learns quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commitment to continuous professional development and improvement of the team
  • Excellent client service aptitude and attitude
