Our Mission:

At CIM, our product vision is to help teams run better buildings with ease, for a sustainable future. We focus on simplifying complex building data and technology, making it accessible and actionable for people who own and operate buildings, directly contributing to the fight against the climate crisis.

Our clients include real estate investment trusts, super funds, governments, major cultural institutions and property owners who operate offices, shopping centres, airports, and other commercial spaces.

The built environment is one of the biggest contributors to climate change, accounting for almost 50% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Over half of these emissions are generated by operational activities, which our software PEAK helps reduce by enabling property operations teams to work smarter and more collaboratively.

What you’ll do:

Our platform ingests billions of sensor readings every week to help building operators cut energy waste, keep equipment running smoothly and people safe. As we scale, we need a Senior Data Analyst to turn that raw data into robust models, prototypes and self-serve tools for both our customers and internal teams. You’ll own the analytics layer of our modern data stack, partner with Product and Data Science teams to validate new features faster and give Customer Success the insights they need to delight customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain analytics models:

  • Design, implement and maintain dbt models that power product features, customer-facing reports and internal dashboards.
  • Optimise SQL transformations for performance, reliability and cost in data warehouses (BigQuery).

BI dash-boarding & self-serve analytics:

  • Build intuitive, trustworthy dashboards using modern BI tools (Metabase, Tableau) that let teams answer their own questions on asset, team and environmental performance.
  • Partner with product managers and data scientists to quickly validate MVPs using real customer data.
  • Automate data visualisation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve data accessibility.

Develop data pipelines, tooling & automation:

  • Extend and monitor ELT pipelines (Airbyte and dlt) and surface issues before they affect end users.
  • Automate recurring analysis and workflows with Python scripts.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years in data analytics or analytics within SaaS or tech environments.
  • Expert SQL for complex analysis and modelling.
  • Production experience with dbt (or equivalent) for data modelling and transformation.
  • Track record building dashboard visualisations in modern BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Metabase).
  • Experience with cloud warehouses such as BigQuery or Redshift and ELT tools like Airbyte or DLT.
  • Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation.
  • Comfortable framing problems, managing stakeholders, and collaborating on projects with product, engineering and customer-facing teams.

Who you’ll work with:

  • This role will report to the VP ofProduct and will work alongside Product and Data Science peers located across APAC
  • Key internal stakeholders are teams including but not limited to Software Engineering (Back-End and DevOps) and Technical Customer Success.

Our values:

Each day you deliver your role with our CIM Values front of mind:

  • Building Joy
    - Our work provides customers with superpowers enabling them to be brilliant at what they do.

  • Experience in a rapidly growing and diverse business - be part of something exciting, and be a key player in helping to shape CIM and the future of building energy efficiency

We’re aware of research that indicates people identifying as women or from under-represented groups are far less likely to apply for roles if they don’t meet 100% of the requirements. At CIM, we’re interested in hiring passionate and curious people that are motivated to make a difference, so please still apply even if you don’t think you have the required experience in absolutely everything that we mention.
