This position can be based anywhere in Australia (AEST timezone preferred). This role can be fully remote or a hybrid if you are in Melbourne.
Culture Amp seeks a Senior Data Product Manager to join our Data Services team, responsible for event streaming services that facilitate data sharing and connection among experience teams within the platform. As a vital team member, you'll play a key role in advancing our data sharing strategy and achieving our mission of enhancing the speed and efficacy of data sharing and connectivity within Culture Amp.
In this role, you will take charge of defining the roadmap, cultivating customer empathy, establishing a robust feedback loop, and collaborating closely with our engineering teams. We're searching for motivated individuals who thrive on challenges and are enthusiastic about contributing to the realization of data's vast potential.
Your expertise and vision will be pivotal in elevating Culture Amp's data sharing capabilities to a level where the process of publishing, transforming, consuming, and deriving insights from data across products becomes effortlessly seamless.
You’ll be working collaboratively with a cross-functional team, but given the remit, will also be required to provide thought leadership across many teams to align on data as a first class citizen and unified platform experience.
As a Senior Product Manager for our Data Streaming Services team, your role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities:
Develop and execute innovative strategies to enhance data service accessibility and ease of use for internal stakeholders.
Working with other Product Managers and Engineers to understand their data needs and enable their roadmaps with fresh & rich data
Coordinate multiple teams, acting as a liaison between producers and consumers of our internal data services.
Striking the balance between investments in customer experiences and technical vision
Identifying the key metrics that drive the platform experience by applying an analytical mindset to uncovering opportunities to improve business outcomes
Define user personas, journeys, and critical tasks through interviews and data analysis.
Collaborating with those across Product Group and around the business to influence change and bring ideas to life
Working alongside technical experts to identify and unblock the key technical constraints holding back the platform experience
Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our data streaming services and driving our commitment to excellence in this domain.
What You Bring to Our Camp
Product Managers at Culture Amp exhibit curiosity, autonomy, and strong analytical skills. They prioritise a deep understanding of internal and external customer challenges and leverage insights from both customer needs and industry trends, aligning them with our company's broader mission and strategy. This alignment enables the creation of impactful, user-friendly solutions. They work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including design, delivery, engineering, marketing, and other specialists, to collectively achieve our shared objectives. You have:
A minimum of 5 years experience in data or technical product management (or similar). Experience working in roles relating to data as a product, data management, administrator experience, data streaming services or platform services is advantageous
Passion for Data Product Management roles with both external and internal focus: driving direct customer impact, and enabling the roadmaps of other teams
Problem solver with a curious mindset that drives you to ask and answer the ‘why’
Research skills: Systematically collect qualitative and quantitative inputs, draw on sharp analytical skills, intuition and empathy to find non-obvious patterns, and distill it all into actionable insights.
Communication and influencing: Engage and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared understanding and vision.
