This role is part of Alcon's Information Technology function, a team that delivers cutting-edge technology solutions to Alcon associates and customers to help our people and the world see brilliantly.

Key Responsibilities:

The Principal I, ERP Business Analysis (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for leading the design and implementation of ERP systems, combining technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to drive organizational success. Specifics include:

• Lead ERP business analysis initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals
• Oversee the design, optimization, and integration of ERP systems, making decisions on designs, optimizations, and resource allocation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to gather requirements, define project scopes and strategies, and develop ERP solutions
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior ERP analysts
• Monitor and report on ERP system performance, recommending optimizations as needed
• Work closely with various business units to ensure ERP systems meet operational needs.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Educational qualification - CA or CPA or Master’s degree in commerce/accounting.
• At least 6-7 to 10 years of experience in SAP Finance/controlling module implementation/roll-out projects in an international environment. In house consulting experiencing is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in Detailed process analysis and design, system architecture and technology standards.
• Business process understanding and driving business stakeholders alignment

Specific professional competencies

• Expert knowledge and implementation experience in following process areas:
  • Record to report topics including month-end processing
    • Journal entry workflow and related internal controls
    • Automated clearings
    • Accrual engine
    • Revenue recognition (RAR)
    • Account reconciliation in tools like Blackline.
    • Month end close management in tools like closing cockpit or Runbook
  • Asset accounting with investment management.
  • Inter-company topics:
    • Good understanding of accounting for supply chain flows including GIT postings and group valuation concept.
    • Inter-company service invoicing (ICSI)
    • Inter-company matching and reconciliation (ICR or ICMR)
  • Profitability analysis (CO-PA)
• Good understanding of the master data settings such as Materials/GL/profit center/cost center supporting the areas mentioned above.
• Knowledge in tax area for Asia/Americas region is an added advantage.

• Solution Quality; Cost efficiency; Delivery time; Customer Satisfaction; Achievement of KPIs for enhancements

• Willingness to travel – Less than 10% (based on business need)
