As the Senior Manager Surgical - Egypt, supporting our Surgical Business Unit and regional franchise teams, you will be trusted to shape local strategy, elevate commercial performance, and strengthen market access across Egypt. You will lead a high‑impact team, develop strong distributor partnerships, and ensure Alcon’s surgical portfolio reaches the customers and patients who need it most.
In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Collaborating with regional franchise leadership, distributors, and key customers to solve market challenges and accelerate access to Alcon’s surgical technologies
  • Leading the local demand generation team and overseeing distributor performance to maximize market potential and ensure efficient deployment of working capital
  • Driving commercial excellence, including sales performance, market share growth, profitability, and execution of annual business plans
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with ophthalmologists, health authorities, influencers, and decision makers to strengthen Alcon’s presence and reputation
  • Providing clear business direction aligned with global strategy while ensuring the organization remains focused, lean, and responsive.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Experience: Significant commercial leadership experience within the medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare sector; proven track record managing P&L, leading people leaders and cross‑functional teams
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of surgical product portfolios and healthcare market dynamics; Expertise in strategic planning, commercial execution, distributor management, and market access; Ability to analyze financial performance, manage budgets, and drive operational efficiency
  • Behaviors: Strategic thinker with strong influencing skills; Collaborative leader who develops talent and builds high‑performing team; Agile, decisive, and able to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
