Key Responsibilities:

This role is part of Alcon's Project Management function, a team that ensures all regular and one-off projects are planned, organized, and executed effectively to help our people and the world see brilliantly. The Principal I, Project/Program Management (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for leading project teams in IT/Engineering/Scientific projects, ensuring timely, budget-friendly completion while meeting technical and quality standards. You'll drive problem-solving and innovation using scientific principles.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• 7 – 11 years of total experience.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance and thought leadership
• Lead and manage projects, shaping strategies and making informed decisions
• Engage in research, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the organization and industry
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive innovation, improve processes, and contribute to the organization's growth and success.

• Microsoft software experience is required.
• Lead and direct project teams in the design, implementation, and modification of technical projects
• Prepare project execution plans and identify necessary technical and business resources
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet technical, quality, and scope requirements
• Stay current on advances in the field of IT and changes in the organization’s business processes
• Provide technical and analytical guidance to project teams
• Interface with stakeholders and vendors to ensure requirements are met, resolve issues, and assess risk and change management needs
• Adhere to all IT governance policies and procedures.

• PMP preferred.
• Develop, validate, and implement controlled environment methods, applying existing techniques and procedures, and recommending and implementing modifications for improved efficiency.

Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
