The Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing, is primarily responsible for leading procurement strategy and execution to support site objectives. This role drives cost optimization, supplier performance, and risk mitigation through innovative sourcing strategies. As a key business partner, you will lead a high-performing team and collaborate across functions to deliver sustainable value and operational excellence. This role is located on-site in Houston, Texas and a typical day would include:

• Serve as the primary procurement interface for the Houston site, ensuring alignment with business and operational objectives.
• Lead a high-performing procurement team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Lead supplier performance management, including QBRs for top suppliers based on spend and criticality.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that ensure cost competitiveness, business continuity, and innovation.
• Own site-level budgeting and spend variance analysis in partnership with MS&T and Procurement COE.
• Ensure contract coverage, supply and pricing agreements.

What You'll Bring to Alcon:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 7 Years of Relevant Experience
