Summary of Position:

As a Principal Opcenter MES Platform Architect, you will lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Siemens Opcenter MES and Opcenter Connect MOM across global manufacturing operations. This senior-level role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities. You will drive digital transformation initiatives, ensure system scalability and compliance, and mentor junior team members while collaborating with business and IT stakeholders. You will also contribute developer-level skills to customize and extend Opcenter and Connect MOM functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Opcenter MES architecture ensuring scalability, security, and high availability to support manufacturing operations, digital transformation initiatives and seamless data exchange across enterprise systems.
• Perform the installation, configuration, and deployment of Opcenter MES across multiple global sites, drive automation for the same.
• Provide expert-level support for Opcenter MES troubleshooting, including root cause analysis, preventive action planning, providing best practices to increase system stability and availability.
• Act as an Application DBA for MSSQL, managing Opcenter MES Database performance issues, including database tuning, query optimization, and system load balancing.
• Deeply understand the MES Opcenter database structure and content, enabling effective troubleshooting as well supporting eDHR or other Opcenter Analytics requests.
• Stay updated with Opcenter MES and MSSQL advancements, recommending system improvements, developing and executing upgrade strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with vendors, IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution and system alignment with business needs.
• Follow and participate in incident management, major incident management, problem management, change management, and configuration management processes.
• Manage, create, update and execute GxP documentation such as test scripts as required to ensure all relevant Compliance policies and regulations are met
• Expected to be on call as needed to support manufacturing sites.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT, with 3+ years in Siemens Opcenter MES and Connect MOM.
• Proven experience as a Technical Architect in MES environments.
• Strong developer skills in Opcenter and Connect MOM, including scripting and module customization.
• Proficiency in MSSQL, ITIL, and ServiceNow.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, global setting.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
