Pricing Operation Manager

Location: Mexico City (Hybrid)

As a Pricing Operation Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Price Administration team for all the Franchises (Surgical, Vision Care, and Pharma). The role involves supporting commercial initiatives to achieve business objectives, such as price changes, price increases, and new contracting strategies. The candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, providing key insights to management, and making recommendations to support the company's vision. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in pricing analysis, as well as proven experience in leading a team. Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting findings to senior management.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Manage the maintenance of the Surgical, Vision Care, Pharma, Freight, and Tech Service pricing (including product and customer level) within SAP, VISTEX and all other related systems to ensure proper accuracy. This includes but is not limited to the following: Price, Discounts, Surcharges, Freight tables, Promos, and Inter-company transactions
• Manage new product pricing (create and modify)
• Support commercial initiatives to achieve business objectives, such as price changes, price increases, and new contracting strategies. Gather and analyze data to provide key insights to management and make recommendations to support the company’s vision
• Advanced level understanding of SAP and other Contract Systems that support business processes in the pricing domain
• Demonstrate a high level of subject matter expertise in Pricing functional area to bridge business requirements and IT solutions; provide technical direction and ensure compliance with best practice solutions
• Ensure policies and procedures, which relate to day to day operational activities, are developed, implemented, maintained, and carried out
• Develops, maintains, and establishes departmental work instructions and SOP’s
• Manage a flexible workload that supports a new and changing business environment
• Responsible for managing Pricing Audits/Validations/Escalations, ensuring that all required documentation is maintained for auditing purposes
• Manage price reporting and analytics
• Lead a team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities
• Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching and counseling employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
• Maintains quality service by carrying out quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, participating in professional societies

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
• 5 years of relevant experience
• 3 years of demonstrated leadership
• Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process and system enhancements
• In-depth knowledge of SAP & BI tools and practical experience analyzing data, program metrics, and performance
• Experience with Pricing and Strategy
• Experience using SAP, Vistex, and Salesforce.com
• Expert in Microsoft Office suite
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process and system enhancements
• Excellent written and verbal English skills, along with quantitative, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Microsoft Office suite
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization, exhibiting leadership qualities
• Ability to critically review and improve initiative metrics
