Additional Scope – Automation System Ownership & Rapid Troubleshooting
• Provide technical ownership for automation-driven equipment recovery by performing advanced troubleshooting on automated systems supporting:
- Primary packaging (saline blister filling, lidding/sealing, laser marking, vision)
- Steam autoclave sterilization systems
- Secondary packaging (lens strip cartoner, carton laser marking, vision)
• Must be able to handle and support automation systems, including:
- PLC/HMI basic diagnostics (alarm interpretation, I/O checking, signal tracing, parameter/recipe verification)
- Safety systems and interlocks (E-stops, door interlocks, safety relays, safe restart)
- Sensors, actuators, and motion/drives troubleshooting (servo/VFD awareness, encoder/speed synchronization)
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting across pneumatic/vacuum, mechanical, electrical, and controls to identify root causes quickly and restore equipment to stable operation, including eliminating recurring issues such as false rejects (vision), marking errors (laser), sealing/filling variability, and sterilization cycle interruptions through structured RCA and effective corrective actions.
