At Alcon, we are driven by the meaningful work we do to help people see brilliantly. We innovate boldly, champion progress, and act with speed as the global leader in eye care. Here, you’ll be recognized for your commitment and contributions and see your career like never before. Together, we go above and beyond to make an impact in the lives of our patients and customers.

We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Senior Manager, Business Strategy & Planning supporting the Vision Care Franchise Leadership Team, you will be trusted to drive analytics-led strategy, portfolio planning, and data-driven decision-making, partnering closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align strategic initiatives, commercial priorities, and growth objectives onsite in Fort Worth, Texas.

In this role, you will act as a trusted strategic advisor, leveraging advanced Excel-based modeling, financial forecasting, market analysis, and business case development, combined with executive-level storytelling and data visualization, to translate complex data into actionable insights. You will take end-to-end ownership of high-impact workstreams, applying structured problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills to elevate the quality, clarity, and speed of decision-making, including delivering leadership-ready insights, go-to-market strategies, competitive intelligence, and Board-level materials.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to co-develop strategic documents and narratives for Executive Leadership Team and Board-level audiences; create leadership-ready PowerPoint materials, one-pagers, and decision briefs that translate complex inputs into clear choices, trade-offs, and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain advanced Excel models to support strategic planning and decision-making, including forecasting, scenario design, sensitivity analysis, and key driver analyses.
  • Develop decision-ready analyses that are transparent and defensible, with clear linkage from assumptions to outputs and implications.
  • Pressure-test plans and proposals by identifying the key assumptions that matter most (through sensitivity checks), quantifying uncertainty and risks, and clarifying any changes or further pressure-testing needed for recommendations.
  • Synthesize business, market, category, and competitive trends into strategic insights and implications; integrate external signals with internal performance to inform planning and prioritization.
  • Support portfolio prioritization and opportunity assessment using structured frameworks (for example, market attractiveness and right-to-win thinking) and translate results into clear actions.
  • Demonstrate leadership in navigating cross-functional projects and owning outcomes while collaborating across R&D, Manufacturing, Franchise, and Commercial teams.
  • Partner cross-functionally to gather, validate, and align inputs and assumptions; drive clarity on definitions, sources, owners, and signoffs where needed.
  • Own quality control and “single source of truth” discipline across models and materials (version control, consistency between numbers and narrative, error checks, and stakeholder readability)
  • Drive continuous improvement in strategy and planning ways of working, including reusable templates, standards, operating cadence, and process simplification to reduce rework and increase throughput.
  • Evaluate and deploy leading AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of workflows and deliverables, including enabling data foundations (for example, data lake–style assets), building fit-for-purpose tools, and partnering to pilot custom AI agents where valuable.
