This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes.
The Sr. Associate I, Manufacturing Production Process Engineering – PCB is a critical role that will support our PCB Engineering business. In this role you will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, and implementing efficient production processes for mass production. You will be expected to apply advanced technical knowledge and analytical skills to drive project performance and innovation.
Specifics include:
- Lead the development of advanced projects and apply innovative solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement new or revised production processes for efficient mass production, including the arrangement of manufacturing equipment for optimal layout and the sequence of production operations.
- Specify procedures for tool and equipment fabrication and adapt machinery in response to factory conditions.
- Conduct tests throughout production to control variables and troubleshoot production problems.
- Provide guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications to best use equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure production processes and procedures comply with regulations and adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training.
- Support team performance and operational efficiency while committing to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+16yrs; M.S.+0 yrs) The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 2 Years of Experience in PCB Engineering/Manufacturing
- 1 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
- Work location: Onsite
- Travel Requirements: 0 – 10% Domestic

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with PCBAs, Surface Mount Technology, Design for Manufacturability, Automated Optical Inspection, Flying Probe testing, In-Circuit Testing, and Selective Soldering
- Prior experience in medical device manufacturing is a plus.
