The Role:
We are seeking a talented Billing Analyst to join our equally talented and high-performing Finance team. You will thrive working in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on accuracy of billings, and creating efficiencies in our customer tickets process.
This is a critical role for Deputy that involves accurately billing customers, working with our Customer Success and Revenue Operations team to ensure customer accounts are set up accurately, and ensuring timely invoicing through our billing platform Zuora. The right candidate will have the ability to shape processes and controls whilst working on projects to improve and automate our sales finance function.
It would be a plus if the candidate has experience in a Saas/Software environment. Zuora experience is desirable but not required and we offer extensive training and support for a highly motivated candidate who enjoys learning new skills and systems.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and working alongside our Finance team, this will be a role for someone who is highly organised, detail oriented, and maintains high work standards to ensure customer billings are accurate. We are a fast growing business, and having a clear and thorough understanding of billing and credit best practices is a must.


  • Monthly customer billings in our billing platform Zuora
  • Leading the end-to-end global accounts receivable function - from onboarding customers, billings and aged debt collections
  • Key point of contact for the global billing process, liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Management of all customer finance interactions in our customer ticketing platform, Zendesk
  • Direct management of our offshore resource in the Philippines
  • Oversee the collection process and following up with customers to ensure timely payment, minimising payment delays and any bad debt write-offs
  • Reporting of aged customer accounts, with detailed commentary for management
  • Collaborating closely with other departments to such as Customer Success and Revenue Ops, ensuring that all internal company policies are followed for customer onboarding and sales conversions
  • Working closely with our Finance team to prepare key monthly invoice and sales reconciliations and any ad-hoc requests

About you:

  • 3+ years of relevant billing and accounts receivable experience, ideally with a Saas/Software business
  • Zuora and Salesforce experience desirable, but not required
  • Zendesk ticketing platform experience (or something similar)
  • Global multi-currency customer billing experience, with experience in billing US customers desirable (Avalara experience is a plus)
  • Accounting and Finance experience desirable, but not required
  • Experience in a Saas environment desirable, but not essential
  • Experience multitasking in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fast learner with experience in a high-volume environment
  • Highly organised and able to provide swift responses to stakeholders
