Our Data team are looking for a highly motivated and talented data science intern to join on an initial 6 month contract!
This role will work on a variety of projects, including developing and implementing machine learning models, analyzing data, and communicating findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement machine learning models to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our rostering and scheduling algorithms, as well as to predict customer churn and user expansion.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and patterns that can be used to improve our products and services, with a specific focus on identifying customers who are at risk of churning or expanding their usage.
  • Communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise way, including recommendations for how to mitigate churn and encourage user expansion.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in data science and machine learning, with a particular focus on churn prediction and user expansion prediction.

Skills and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, data science, or a related field or working towards.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or a similar language.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and statistical methods, through a university project or practical experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Growth mindset and willingness to learn.

Role:

  • Collect and clean data on customer usage, demographics, and other factors that may be associated with churn or user expansion.
  • Develop and train machine learning models to predict churn and user expansion.
  • Evaluate the performance of the models and make adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate the results of the analysis to stakeholders and make recommendations for how to improve retention and growth.
