Deputy is a global SaaS remote-first workforce management company with hubs in Sydney, Melbourne, San Francisco and London, plus team members working remotely across the United States. Our platform serves over 1.5 million workers and 375,000 workplaces across 100+ countries. We are backed by top global investors and recently achieved Unicorn status.
At Deputy, we’re improving the world of work, one shift at a time, for 80% of the world’s workforce: hourly workers. These are the dedicated employees who keep our world running – from baristas to nurses, cleaners to delivery drivers, florists to factory workers. Despite their vital role in society, most workplace technology has focused on those workers who sit behind a desk, but at Deputy, we transform the frontline. When businesses use Deputy, their workplaces thrive – the business is more profitable, compliant, and productive, while the workers are more engaged and happier at work.
If you’re passionate about creating solutions that put people first and helping businesses and their teams thrive, join us at Deputy and make an impact where it matters most!
We are seeking an experienced and technical Senior Product Manager to join our Ecosystem team. In this role, you will drive both the vision and execution of the Deputy API platform and our Integration Marketplace.
You’ll work at the intersection of product, engineering, and strategic partnerships to help create seamless experiences between Deputy and the HRIS, Payroll, Point-of-Sale and ISV platforms that our customers rely on every single day.
You will combine technical acumen and strategic thinking with strong execution skills to help us accelerate growth and drive new partnerships for the Deputy platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the API & Integration Platform Strategy: Define and evolve the strategy and roadmap for Deputy’s API platform and integration marketplace, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and customer needs.
  • Drive Strategic Integration Initiatives: Identify, prioritize, and deliver native integrations with key HRIS, Payroll, Point of Sale, and other workforce-related systems that unlock value for Deputy’s customers and partners.
  • Collaborate with External Partners and ISVs: Work directly with our technology partners and third-party developers to define integration requirements, co-create solutions, and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Represent the Voice of the Customer: Develop a deep understanding of the integration needs of midmarket and enterprise customers across different verticals. Use insights from customer conversations, usage data, and competitive analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Champion Developer Experience: Drive improvements across our developer-facing touchpoints—including API documentation, onboarding flows, SDKs, webhooks, and sandbox environments—to reduce friction and encourage adoption.
  • Define and Monitor Success Metrics: Establish clear KPIs for platform adoption, integration usage, developer satisfaction, and business impact. Use data to inform trade-offs and continuously improve product outcomes.
  • Align Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with design, marketing, sales, support, and partnerships to ensure a seamless experience from discovery to deployment—for both customers and partners.
  • Evangelize the Platform Vision: Promote a platform-first mindset across Deputy and the broader ecosystem. Communicate the long-term vision of our API and integration strategy to both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2-3+ years leading technical API or Platform products.
  • Proven success building APIs, SDKs, or developer tools in a B2B SaaS or platform company
  • with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Demonstrated experience with building or maintaining API integrations, ideally in workforce management, HRIS, Payroll, Point-of-Sale or adjacent domains.
  • Solid technical knowledge of REST APIs, Webhooks, OAuth, and modern integration architectures and development patterns.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with both internal teams and with our external partners and developers.
  • Natural ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and rally partners around a shared vision.
  • Deep understanding of Workforce Management concepts (ie Scheduling, Time & Attendance, Leave and Payroll) is highly desirable.
  • Customer-first mindset combined with strong product instincts and a bias for action.
If you are passionate about building products that connect systems and simplify workflows for businesses worldwide, we'd love to hear from you!
