SEO/AEO Specialist

We are looking for a strong SEO/AEO Specialist who can go beyond task-based SEO execution and think strategically about how search drives business outcomes. This person needs to understand client objectives, identify commercially valuable search opportunities, map keyword intent to the right pages and content, and turn SEO/AEO recommendations into clear, practical action.
You will be working as part of a growing team within Digivizer’s Agency Services. It’s a fun and supportive environment to grow and learn. What the role entails:
1. Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute SEO and AEO strategies for Digivizer and client accounts.
- Translate client business objectives into clear search strategies, keyword priorities and content opportunities.
- Identify high-value organic growth opportunities based on search intent, competition, conversion potential and client priorities.
- Prioritise SEO/AEO activity based on likely commercial impact, not just traffic volume.
- Stay up to date with search algorithm updates, SEO/AEO trends, LLM search behaviour and best practices.
2. Research & Analysis
- Conduct keyword research that considers search volume, intent, competition, funnel stage and commercial value.
- Build keyword maps that align search terms to the right website pages, landing pages, blogs or content opportunities.
- Analyse whether a keyword is relevant to the client’s actual services, audience, market and conversion goals.
- Perform competitor and SERP analysis to identify gaps, opportunities and realistic ranking pathways.
- Use Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush/Ahrefs and other tools to diagnose performance and recommend next actions.
- Explain why specific keywords or content opportunities should be prioritised.
3. On-Page, Technical & Content Optimization
- Audit websites and recommend improvements across on-page SEO, technical SEO, and metadata
- Develop and implement content optimization strategies
- Provide SEO briefs for blogs, landing pages, and web content aligned with search intent and AEO principles
4. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor and report on SEO and AEO performance using tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, LLMs, and Digivizer’s SEO platform
- Prepare client-ready reports and presentations on strategy, performance, and insights
- Ensure delivery of programs aligns with agreed objectives and scope
5. Collaboration & Execution
- Collaborate with content creators and designers to ensure SEO alignment in content execution
- Work cross-functionally to implement recommendations and improve site performance
- Support broader digital marketing and content initiatives as required
What we’re looking for:
- At least 4–5 years’ experience in SEO, content strategy, digital marketing, client management, or a related performance marketing role.
- Strong SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, search intent analysis, on-page optimisation, technical SEO, content optimisation, metadata, internal linking and performance reporting.
- Strong strategic judgement, with the ability to understand a client’s business model, audience, services, market position and commercial priorities before making SEO or AEO recommendations.
- Proven ability to identify the right keywords for a client, not just the highest-volume keywords. You should be able to assess relevance, intent, competition, funnel stage, conversion value and likely business impact.
- Ability to map keywords and search intent to the right pages, landing pages, blogs, content hubs or website improvements.
- Comfortable explaining why a keyword, page or content opportunity should be prioritised, and able to challenge low-value recommendations with clear reasoning.
- Practical understanding of AEO, LLM search and how brands can improve visibility in AI-driven search experiences.
- Experienced in using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs or similar SEO and analytics platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret organic performance data, identify issues and turn insights into practical next steps.
- Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients, internal teams and stakeholders.
- Strong client-facing or relationship management experience, including the ability to ask good questions, clarify objectives and build trust through useful recommendations.
- Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple clients, priorities and deadlines without losing quality.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with content writers, designers, paid media specialists, developers and account managers.
- Familiar with Google Workspace, Slack, Asana or similar project management and collaboration tools.
- Flexible, curious and ready to learn, with a strong interest in SEO, AEO, digital performance and client growth.
- A strong ownership mindset. We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for outcomes, follows through, and cares about doing high-quality work.
The role is full-time, 5 days working remotely, and following Sydney, Australia timezone/work hours. There will be a few team face-to-face days in Metro Manila each year.
We are a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) company.
Recruitment Process
As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a practical task involving keyword research, search intent analysis, and page/content recommendations for a sample client.
This helps us understand how you think through SEO/AEO strategy, how you assess search intent, and how you connect recommendations back to real client outcomes.
