Role Summary

Edrolo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller/Finance Manager to lead and manage our finance operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, optimising financial processes, and providing strategic financial insights to support key business decisions.

As a key member of the finance team, you will oversee end-to-end finance operations, manage a team of two offshore employees, and enhance our financial systems and processes. Your focus will include improving invoicing and collections, streamlining month-end close procedures, and developing insightful financial reports to support business stakeholders.

• Flexibility: Part-time (4 days min) or Full-time, depending on years of experience, offered flexibly over the working week.

• Team: 2 offshore finance employees

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Management

• Oversee all end-to-end finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Manage and develop a team of two offshore finance employees, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial workflows and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage key compliance lodgements including IAS, Superannuation, and BAS
• Manage the R&D application and Company Tax return with key advisors

Process & System Improvements

• Design and implement improved invoicing and collections processes to drive efficiency and cash flow optimisation.
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial systems and tools, ensuring scalability and reliability in reporting and compliance.
• Standardise month-end close procedures to improve accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and enhance monthly management reports, providing key financial analysis and insights to senior leadership.
• Ensure financial statements are prepared in compliance with accounting standards and company accounting policies.
• Deliver variance analysis and financial performance metrics to support business decision-making.

Business Partnership & Strategic Support

• Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to provide financial support and guidance.
• Offer insights on cost efficiencies, revenue growth opportunities, and operational improvements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Provide financial input into commercial decision-making, including contract negotiations and pricing strategies.

Skills & Experience Required

• CA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
• At least 10 years overall experience, with 5+ years of experience in a finance leadership role, preferably in a Tech, SaaS, or high-growth environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial processes, systems, and reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in process improvements and system implementations.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with experience leading offshore teams.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, or similar) and Excel.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
