About our Analytics Manager job:

Are you passionate about data-driven insights and strategic decision-making? Do you love leading and mentoring other data analysts to generate great insights and visualisations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our organization as an Analytics Manager and build out our analytics function from scratch.

Join our team and be part of an exciting journey as we establish and grow our analytics function in conjunction with our scaling data science and engineering team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with diverse business units, including product, engineering, go-to-market, customer success, and experience.

Responsibilities

As our Analytics Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and expanding our analytics capabilities while collaborating with our burgeoning data practices.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building and leading the analytics team: You will have the unique opportunity to build and shape our analytics team by recruiting top talent, managing their growth, and fostering a culture of excellence. Your leadership skills will be essential in setting the foundation for success.
  • Developing and executing the analytics strategy: You will have the autonomy to develop a comprehensive data and analytics strategy that aligns with our organization's goals and objectives. Your strategic thinking will identify opportunities for data-driven insights across various business functions.
  • Overseeing data analysis, reports, and dashboards: You will establish robust processes for data analysis, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our insights. By overseeing the delivery of reports and dashboards, you will empower stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams: This role will require close collaboration with various teams, including product, engineering, go-to-market, customer success, and experience. Your ability to work effectively across different business units will ensure analytics efforts are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Project management: You will prioritize analytics tasks and requests effectively, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Your exceptional project management skills will be vital in navigating complex and evolving requirements.

Skills and Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Leadership: You must have experience leading a team of data analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and motivation to help the team achieve its objectives.
  • Experience in building and scaling teams, preferably within a SaaS or start-up environment, will be highly valued.
  • Strategic thinking: You should possess the ability to think strategically about how data and analytics can be leveraged to support organizational goals and objectives. Your insights will drive the business forward.
  • Technical expertise: You must have a deep understanding of data analytics and the technical infrastructure required to support data analytics work.
  • Proficiency in relevant analytics tools and programming languages is essential.

It will be an advantage if you have:

Experience with agile project management methodologies like Scrum or Kanban can be useful for managing analytics projects in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
