Having first launched in South East Asia in late 2020, this region is now firmly established and ready to scale as a key growth market for Employment Hero.

What your days might look like

As the Managing Director for South East Asia, you'll report directly to our Chief Revenue Officer and take full accountability for the SEA region (currently consisting of Singapore and Malaysia). Our MD will have a unique opportunity to shape and deliver our growth strategy in this market and over time, will possibly lead its continued expansion in the region.

The SEA MD will be entirely accountable for delivering the company’s regional GTM/sales strategy and targets across the region and will have direct responsibility for revenue growth from both new and existing customers. To help deliver this, they will further develop and instil a rigorous and data-driven approach to all sales activities, ensuring that efforts are fine-tuned across the relevant SEA verticals.

Key objectives will include:

  1. Creating and delivering on a compelling and ambitious growth strategy for SEA
  2. Scaling the SEA business in line with this strategy, and delivering the ARR targets
  3. Ensuring that the funnel economics are there to drive and support this growth
  4. Establishing frequent and clear communication with Employment Hero's global team
  5. Overall, doing all the right things to rocket fuel the SEA region
  6. Enhancing brand awareness in the SEA market
  7. Leveraging marketing initiatives, partnerships, and promotions to increase brand visibility
  8. Improving self-service capabilities
  9. Guiding the business towards a mid-market, product-led growth (PLG) driven sales approach

You'll be accountable for

  • Shaping and delivering Employment Hero's growth strategy in SEA
  • Delivering the SEA go-to-market (GTM) strategy and targets
  • Leading and scaling our SEA team, which currently consists of 60+ team members across Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Experience and Customer Implementations
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Generating revenue growth from new and existing customers
  • Developing and implementing a rigorous, data-driven approach to sales activities
  • Fine-tuning our efforts across relevant SEA verticals
  • Engaging in effective communication with peers, the CRO, and the wider business to provide local insights and support strategic initiatives
  • Actively participating in key decision-making processes in order to best position Employment Hero in the SEA market

What you'll need to bring

  • Proven experience as a GM, Managing Director or regional leader for a B2B SaaS business (essential)
  • Proven knowledge of the SEA market
  • Exceptional sales and GTM expertise, with a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Previous success developing GTM strategies for SMB and Mid-Market customers
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Deep knowledge of the local market
