Healthcare is usually slow and boring. We believe in its potential to be exciting and entertaining. But changing the healthcare experience is hard – and we’re gonna need all the help we can get…!

About Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus (or 'Euc' for short) is an Australian founded digital healthcare company that is on a mission to solve the world’s biggest healthcare challenges - think fertility, and behavioural change around chronic conditions such as weight loss, diabetes, and mental health.

Founded in Australia in 2019, we have now helped over 500K patients globally by combining technology, design and operational excellence to help patients access the best clinical support when they need it - wherever they are.

Our 4 brands (Juniper, Pilot, Kin & Software) focus heavily on personalising the experience for different demographics and are powered by a growing team across 5 countries (Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, and the Philippines).

We’ve raised over AUD$150M in funding from Aussie and Silicon Valley investors who were early backers of Uber, Canva and AirBnb. With plans to launch into several more markets, offline channels, and tackle new conditions.

We’re looking to continue building our team of executional weapons who are passionate about healthcare, aren’t afraid to work hard, and invest in others through direct and honest feedback. This approach enables us to make the most impactful changes to improve the health of millions of patients globally.

About the role (what you’ll do)

A Health Coach is a critical capability for Eucalyptus in supporting our patients towards their health-related goals and outcomes. This is achieved by creating long-term engagement and relationships with our patients.

In this role you will be the primary interaction point with these patients on our Weight program. They are trusting us to support their health journey. The primary responsibility for the Health Coach will be managing the communications process and engagement for our patients, end to end, via community management, group and individual patient communications.

The role in short includes:

  • Providing general advice and coaching for engagement in group and individual communications (think nutrition and movement advice, behavioural changes and meal plans)
  • Patient community management and moderation
  • Triaging, responding to and escalating communications from patients to other functions in the German and Global teams
  • Directing patient queries and feedback to the relevant internal channel
  • Reporting to a Operations and Strategy Lead and being an active team player
  • Our team is small, so you may also become involved in other functions and support where needed

In this role you will work with our clinical team, international operations team and delivery partners to ensure our patients receive a high quality of support and care.

This role requires a high level of empathy, the ability to prioritise simultaneous activities and communications with multiple patients while ensuring high attention to detail, and a patient-centric-oriented approach.

You will be interacting directly with real people dealing with real health issues and medical diagnoses and must be able to identify, respond to, and escalate interactions and situations appropriately in accordance with guidelines and for exceptions.

This role will be important to the continued success of Eucalyptus and will filter important information back through the rest of the team so we can continue to improve the health of our patients.

About you (who you are)

  • You have at least 1 years of industry experience in nutrition counselling and/or health coaching (we prefer previous experience working in digital health or experience in obesity and diabetes treatment)
  • You are naturally empathetic, reliable, caring and have a strong ability for creative problem solving.
  • You are well organized, independent and can work well in a team.
  • You are confident with technology and enthusiastic about a fast-paced environment.
  • You are passionate about driving change in patient care.
  • You are fluent in the German language
  • You have a good command of English (bonus points if you speak other European languages)
  • We prefer applicants who are registered with the German Nutrition Society (Dietitiens) and/or the German Nutrition Society (Nutritionists).
  • A scientific degree is highly appreciated and is an advantage

Why you should join Euc

You’ll **spend a lot of time outside of your comfort zone learning and iterating frequently, we wouldn’t have it any other way
  • We will invest in your career - You’ll get access to an annual professional development budget, mentors and buddies to ensure that you have the support you need to level up. You can expect regular performance and pay reviews as your career grows.
  • We are all owners - You’ll be given equity to ensure that you are able to benefit in the upside of your contribution in helping Euc grow. Your ideas will be valued regardless of your role, you will have ownership over the projects you work on which will feel both terrifying but extremely fulfilling
  • We play as hard as we work - From our annual Eucalympics (Olympic themed decathlon), monthly health & fitness allowances, free weekly barista coffees, funded social clubs, quarterly rooftop parties and weekly catered fireside chats, we know how to let our hair down!

At Eucalyptus, we value individuals from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and we embrace the unique qualities each person brings. When you apply, please let us know of any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process.
