We’re seeking a dedicated Information Security Systems Engineer to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. The candidate will own the entire planning process and covers all phases of the systems lifecycle: planning, crafting, implementing, operating, and optimizing systems that meet United States federal regulations. The role has two main functions: first, acting as a customer-focused product owner responsible for setting and delivering an operational roadmap, and second, serving as a security manager who aligns operational needs with regulated industry security requirements.
What you’ll be doing:
Implement features and functionality required by an organization-wide system aligned with 800-171 & CMMC requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams to clarify requirements and implement sophisticated solutions to enable business operations.
Partner with vendors and solution providers.
Coordinate with security and compliance teams.
Recommend and implement optimizations.
Support audit initiatives.
What we need to See:
Previous experience operating organization-wide systems aligned with NIST 800-171 / CMMC / FISMA / FedRAMP.
Hands-on knowledge of cloud technology solutions which enable business.
Previous customer service management experience.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cloud System Architect certifications, or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with cloud security providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud compliance).
Advanced skills in data analytics or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting compliance metrics.
Over 6+ years of experience in information security engineering with an emphasis on customer needs.
Proven track record of handling ambiguity, and delivery against requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, IT, Compliance, or a related area, or equivalent experience.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Solid understanding of export controls including but not limited to ITAR / EAR / ACS IFR.
A resume that clearly demonstrates your impact in relevant roles.
Familiarity with DOD clearance processing requirements, SEAD 3, SEAD4, and the 13 adjudicative standards, and tracking of personnel security clearances and associated investigation requirements.
Processing classified visit requests and certifications.
Experience handling administrative inquiries and conducting investigations of non-compliance.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 270,250 USD for Level 4, and 196,000 USD - 310,500 USD for Level 5.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
