NVIDIA is searching for a highly motivated, excellent Senior Software and Automation Infrastructure Engineer to join the software tools group. You will design and develop infrastructure for tools that enable developers worldwide to harness the full power of NVIDIA products. The successful candidate will show experience and knowledge in designing and developing infrastructure for software and automation, good communication and ability to integrate well as part of the team and organization, and motivated to solve sophisticated problems, enabling the acceleration and quality of development of tools for management, configuration and debug of all NVIDIA networking products.
What you'll be doing:
As a valued member of the team, you will be involved in the technical design and implementation of numerous features working in an Agile environment.
Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts using Python to ensure the reliability, functionality, and quality of the tools software for management, configuration and debug of NVIDIA networking products
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated test workflows to integrate verification into the development lifecycle.
Develop infrastructure for the Tools Software, ecosystem and build system
Effectively estimate and prioritize tasks in order to create a realistic delivery schedule
Write fast, effective, maintainable, reliable and well documented code
Collaborate with multiple development teams on new features
Provide peer reviews to other engineers
Document designs, and review documents with stake holders
Demonstrate growth in technical and non-technical abilities
What we need to see:
BSc degree or equivalent experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree
5+ years of experience as a software engineer or software verification engineer, with a focus on building sophisticated software systems and test automation
Excellent Python programming skills
Excellent understanding of the C++ Build and ecosystem
Experience with cmake and Bazel
Hands‑on experience with CI methodology and tools (e.g., Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar) and integrating automated tests into pipelines.
Strong Object-Oriented Programming abilities
Able to work effectively with a team of engineers, in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to estimate effectively to ensure delivery of software on time
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Linux/Windows kernel experience and deep understanding of SW/HW communication
Be able to demonstrate initiative and determination in getting things done
Background with networking applications and protocols, especially in high‑performance or low‑latency environments
Experience with DevOps tooling and practices, such as containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), and monitoring/logging of test or lab systems.
Experience designing and executing large‑scale performance, scalability, or reliability test suites with knowledge of design patterns.
