How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:
The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.
- Assist in the design and analysis of the fluid and mechanical aspects of Propulsion Ground Support Equipment (GSE) including launch fluid systems, propulsion test stands and supporting infrastructure
- Develop CAD models and drawings of GSE.
- Support commissioning of GSE.
- Assist and develop written procedures and checklists for performing test & commissioning operations, and support test teams as required.
- Fault find and perform rectification of GSE
- Assist the development of written procedures for manufacturing components
- Assist and coordinate the fabrication, assembly and integration of propulsion GSE
- Support the design and testing of propulsion systems
- Support launch preparations and launch operations, as needed
- Perform other duties as requested by Management
- Bachelors (BS) degree in an Engineering discipline
- NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with CAD designing parts and assemblies
- Experience using commercial FEA or Multiphysics simulation package (ANSYS preferred or NASTRAN, ABAQUS, CFD codes, etc.)
- Hands-on hardware experience performing fabrication, assembly, integration and testing
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution skills
- Proven Ability to prioritize and manage work demands and deliver outcomes
- Self-motivated, results oriented with a high level of attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to health and safety, quality assurance, continuous improvement, and environmental management
