How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space:

- Teach and work alongside a team of talented engineers by developing complex power, electrical and control systems
- Fulfill role of design authority for Electrical Engineering design engineering department outputs
- Provide technical leadership, expert direction, mentorship and support of the development, work allocation for the department
- Ensure a very high standard of department engineering activities whilst maintaining efficient high paced output through application of balanced process, education, communication and delegated accountability
- Derive project work packages, develop and administer approach plans and schedules and ensure resources, risks and issues are managed to achieve aggressive deadlines and targets
- Support programmatic allocation of resources across multiple work packages and tasks to deliver necessary outcomes
- Plan and forecast resource needs according to future effort
- Utilise the full spectrum of the design, analysis, test, and manufacturing tools to create optimised power, electrical and control systems
- Supervise and authorise a range of complex test activities to required policies and standards
- Ensure department engineering activities and documentation are conducted in accordance with Gilmour Space policies, plans and procedures
- Possess and provide an understanding of Australian electrical regulatory requirements
- Liaise and develop relationships with suppliers and manufacturing subcontractors.
- Work across our multidisciplinary team including other engineering, technical and operational disciplines
- Other duties as requested by Management
- NER / RPEQ / CPEng or ability to obtain
- 5+ years of demonstrated expertise with the design, analysis, development, test and operation of Electrical Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience developing electrical actuators, batteries, harnesses, high voltage power electronics or industrial SCADA systems
- Working knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards and Codes
- Demonstrated ability to lead a high-performance engineering team and solve complex problems
- Experience managing projects including schedule and work package management
- NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred.
- Experience designing products for high criticality applications such as aerospace, automotive, defence, medical, mining, or transport
- Advanced manufacturing experience
- Conformance to standards testing experience
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution skills
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage work demands and deliver outcomes
- Systems Engineering process knowledge and experience
- Multi-disciplinary engineering qualifications or experience like mechanical, software or RF engineering
