This is a an exciting new role, that will be at the heart of driving AI native operations in Finance, to drive initially, efficiency in Go1`s quote to cash operations. As a Finance Systems Engineer, you will own end-to-end improvements to the systems that keep Go1's order-to-cash and operational-finance workflows reliable. NetSuite is the core platform of your expertise. You will work with Finance, Accounting, RevOps, and technical partners to design and deliver scalable, controlled improvements to critical workflows, resolve complex production issues, and strengthen financial operations.
We care about the quality of the outcome, not whether you have used every system in our environment. You will bring strong NetSuite judgement and select, operate, or help shape the right integration, data, automation, and AI tools for the problem. You will take end-to-end ownership of defined business outcomes, establish practical engineering patterns, and grow toward broader architecture stewardship through reliable delivery.
What You'll Do
- Own and improve NetSuite order-to-cash workflows, from customer and sales-order data through invoicing, payments, credits, refunds, reconciliation, and close support.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and safely extend NetSuite using SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, transaction forms, saved searches, SuiteAnalytics, and invoice templates.
- Design, build, and support observable, recoverable, and reconciled integrations and data flows using the appropriate APIs, webhooks, iPaaS, workflow, or scripting tools.
- Lead investigations into financial-system incidents and data-quality issues; identify root causes, restore reliable operation, and reduce recurring manual work.
- Lead requirements discovery and technical design with Finance, Accounting, Tax, and RevOps; turn operational needs into practical system changes with clear ownership and controls.
- Support billing, payment, tax, and reconciliation workflows while escalating accounting or tax-policy decisions to the accountable Finance or Tax owner.
- Own test strategy and release readiness for changes in the appropriate environment; collect user-acceptance evidence and maintain clear documentation, monitoring, and runbooks.
- Identify and deliver AI-assisted improvements to analysis, testing. Partner with finance to deploy low-risk automation and agents without bypassing approvals, human review, or financial controls.
What You'll Bring
- Four or more years of experience in finance systems, business systems, SaaS operations, or integration engineering.
- Hands-on NetSuite experience, with a strong understanding of operational-finance and order-to-cash processes, and evidence of independently owning a complex workflow end to end.
- Experience designing and supporting APIs, webhooks, integrations, or workflow automation in a production environment.
- Working knowledge of invoices, payments, refunds, reconciliation, revenue dates, multi-currency considerations, and the downstream impact of system changes.
- Experience supporting indirect-tax processes and tax-system integrations, such as Vertex or a comparable tax engine.
- A methodical approach to testing, exception handling, documentation, and operational support.
- Clear written and verbal communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Good judgement about when a change needs finance approval, tax guidance, peer review, or a controlled release.
- Evidence of sound technical judgement, ownership, and a practical instinct to turn ambiguous operational friction into a durable improvement.
Helpful, but not required
- Experience with a CRM, billing, payments, collections, tax, procurement, or other finance-adjacent system.
- SQL, SuiteQL, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript used for data investigation, validation, integrations, or internal tools.
- Experience in a subscription, SaaS, or multi-entity operating environment.
