The U.S. Deposits platform is a critical driver of firmwide balance sheet strength, funding strategy, and client engagement.
ROLE OVERVIEWWe are seeking a senior leader to serve as Head of U.S. Deposits, responsible for setting and executing the national strategy for the Private Bank’s deposit business. This individual will lead a high-performing team and partner closely with Investing, Lending, Treasury, and Wealth Management leadership to drive balance growth, optimize pricing, and enhance client outcomes.
This role combines P&L ownership, strategic leadership, and team management, with direct accountability for deposit balances, revenue, and franchise expansion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Business Leadership & Strategy- Own and drive the U.S. deposit strategy, including product positioning, growth initiatives, and market expansion
- Set pricing strategy and balance sheet optimization approach, balancing growth, profitability, and liquidity objectives
- Lead annual planning, forecasting, and business performance management against balance and revenue targets
- Identify and execute new product development opportunities and strategic initiatives
- Lead, develop, and scale a national deposits team across functions (pricing, analytics, product, and coverage)
- Establish clear roles, accountability, and performance management frameworks
- Coach and mentor team members, building a high-performance, collaborative culture
- Partner with senior leadership to evolve org structure aligned to business priorities
- Oversee deposit pricing strategy and governance, including standard and exception pricing frameworks
- Ensure robust analytics, forecasting, and performance tracking infrastructure
- Maintain oversight of liquidity, interest rate, and market risk exposures, ensuring alignment with firm limits
- Leverage competitive intelligence to inform pricing and positioning strategy
- Define and evolve the deposit product suite, including term deposits, sweep products, and structured solutions
- Drive enhancements to platform capabilities, processes, and operational efficiency
- Ensure strong controls, policies, and regulatory compliance across the business
- Partner with regional leadership, advisors, and bankers to drive deposit adoption and wallet share growth
- Act as a senior point of contact for key client opportunities, supporting complex or strategic situations
- Lead go-to-market strategy, including marketing campaigns, advisor education, and client communication
- Collaborate with Treasury, Risk, Finance, Technology, and Legal/Compliance to align on funding strategy, governance, and execution
- Represent the U.S. deposits business in senior forums and strategic decision-making discussions
- Significant experience in deposits, treasury, banking products, or balance sheet management, ideally within Private Banking or Wealth Management
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex financial businesses
- Deep understanding of deposit pricing, liquidity management, and regulatory environment
- Strong strategic mindset with execution rigor
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to influence senior leaders
- Analytical orientation with ability to translate data into business strategy
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $115000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
