About your role:
As an Engineering Manager across Software and Testing teams at Annalise.ai, you are responsible for leading a global team of engineers and testers. You are accountable for people, process and technology aspects, building and fostering a high performing, global engineering culture, as well as lead the testing efforts for our regulated Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) products.
This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in Agile environments, brings strong expertise in software engineering, software quality, and can drive end-to-end software development, test strategy, execution, and team growth.
You will empower your team to achieve their goals, coach them in their professional development and play a pivotal role in driving key project outcomes and milestones.
What you do:
• Provide people and technical leadership to a team of testers and developers, fostering ownership, autonomy, and career development,
• Develop and drive Annalise.ai's technical implementation roadmap to ensure our product remains robust and scalable,
• Engage in software design, code; review/coach as needed,
• Lead development efforts and champion test-driven development and quality engineering practices across the SDLC,
• Use metrics to measure product quality, test effectiveness, and release readiness,
• Identify gaps in testing processes, tooling, and team capabilities—and lead continuous improvement efforts, and
• Promote a culture of engineering excellence and quality awareness across teams.
What you bring:
• Strong experience leading technical teams in Agile environments,
• Knowledge of building, maintaining, and scaling test automation frameworks,
• Broad technology background with exposure/expertise in Python; Node.js/Typescript, Docker, Cloud Technologies,
• A minimum of 3 years as a Software Engineering Manager or equivalent experience leading large engineering teams,
• Solid understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines and how to integrate test automation,
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers (Docker), and distributed systems, and
• High level of professional communication with an ability to effectively work across technical, clinical and non-technical teams.
Desirable (Nice to Have):
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) to set up test environments,
• Knowledge of security testing practices (OWASP Top 10, DAST/SAST tooling),
• Experience with AI/ML product testing (e.g., model validation, bias/fairness testing),
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana) to monitor system health during tests,
• Certifications like ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent, and
• Experience working in or with regulated environments (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, or similar).
