Hatch is recruiting a team of exceptional undergraduates, postgraduates, recent grads, and professionals with skills in programming, software engineering, and/or computer science to help assess and enhance the capabilities of Silicon Valley's frontier Large Language Models (LLMs) in coding excellence.

This program brings together technical specialists to advance AI capabilities within software development domains, with project availability varying by technical specialty.

Program Details

  • The position is remote, flexible and asynchronous - work independently from wherever you are
  • It is the perfect experience for CS students/grads who want to work for the biggest AI labs in the world
  • Flexible scheduling with approximately 5-20 hours per week commitment, choose your own hours
  • Project work includes and is not limited to developing domain-specific prompts and evaluating LLM responses
  • Research emerging technologies and development practices with AI assistance
  • Learn new skills, get paid for flexible work while contributing to the changing world of AI
  • Project placement depends on current research needs and your specialisation

Who should apply

  • Open to postgraduate students, undergraduate students, recent graduates, and freelancers and professionals working in software engineering
  • Studying or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher in: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Software Development
  • Studied at Group of Eight (Go8) university or equivalent top-tier Australian institution
  • Comfortable with asynchronous collaboration with leading AI research labs
  • Confident that your software engineering knowledge can challenge and improve current AI systems

Please note: Successful candidates for this job will not work directly for the Hatch team. You will be on-hired via Hire with Hatch to work on tasks for our Silicon Valley AI lab partners.
