This is a Marketing Manager role with Stella Startups that is remote-first based n Australia.

The Opportunity

This isn't your typical marketing gig. You’ll be the storyteller, the connector, and the executional force behind the go-to-market strategies for a portfolio of incredible startup clients.

Working directly with founders, your mission is to establish them as the undeniable voice of their category. You'll create content and build relationships that not only engage humans but are built to win in the new world of AI-driven marketing.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Narrative (Content & Brand): You'll run the content strategy from ideation to distribution. This means creating high-impact assets - founder thought leadership, case studies and educational guides that are intelligently optimised for both human audiences and modern discovery engines (SEO, AEO, GEO).
  • Build Authority on Social: You'll leverage your deep expertise in LinkedIn and your curiosity for what works across other channels (like TikTok and Instagram) to build authority, engage specific audiences, and adapt content for maximum impact.
  • Drive Credibility (PR & Partnerships): You'll build our clients' public profiles by securing earned media like podcast interviews and guest articles. At the same time, you'll cultivate relationships with industry players, influencers, and community leaders to build a powerful network of advocates.
  • Enable Sales Teams to Win: You'll be the critical bridge between marketing and sales, creating compelling case studies and presentations and ensuring the sales team has the right content at the right time.

What We're Looking For

  • You're strategic, scrappy & commercial. You get that marketing is a means to an end. You start by understanding a client's commercial goals, market position, and audience, whether that's a C-suite executive or a direct consumer. This business-first context informs every action, ensuring your work is aligned with tangible outcomes like pipeline, revenue, or customer acquisition. You don’t follow playbooks; you find inspiration from world-class campaigns and adapt it to create something new and effective that cuts through the noise.
  • You're an operator who owns it. You thrive on autonomy and move fast. As a skilled project manager, you can context-switch between multiple clients without missing a beat, taking full ownership from concept to completion. You're a natural at engaging with founders, media, and partners to build legit relationships. You also know how to write a clear, effective design brief that gets results.
  • You're a modern marketing native. You have a strong foundation in modern search (SEO/AEO/GEO). You know your way around a CRM and a CMS like Webflow, and you’re not afraid to learn and experiment with new tools (especially AI) to deliver higher quality work, faster.

Skills & Experience Checklist

  • Content Strategy & Creation: Expertise in creating long-form guides or educational articles, case studies, and short-form social copy for both B2B and D2C audiences.
  • Modern SEO: A strong foundation in SEO with a working knowledge of emerging AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) principles.
  • Social Media Management: Deep expertise in LinkedIn, with the strategic awareness to adapt content and formats for channels like Instagram and TikTok.
  • PR & Media Outreach: Experience in pitching journalists, securing guest posts, and building relationships with media.
  • CMS Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern content management systems (we love Webflow, but others are great too).
  • CRM Familiarity: Comfortable navigating a CRM and/or Email Marketing tools (e.g. Hubspot, Pipedrive, ActiveCampaign, Attio) for setting up content distribution and tracking, sales enablement, list segmentation, and basic reporting.
  • AI for Marketing: Experience using generative AI tools to accelerate research, content creation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Creative Brief Writing: The ability to write clear, effective briefs for design (brand, web, graphic) and other creative projects.
