The Product Team

The Product team is made up of strategic thinkers who lead and guide cross-functional squads of Engineers, UX Designers, and Data Scientists. The team partners closely with stakeholders across the business to define strategy, roadmaps, and feature delivery across all technology products—spanning new initiatives, existing systems, and platform upgrades.

This team is tech-savvy, commercially minded, and driven by big-picture thinking with a strong passion for innovation.

What’s Involved

As a Product Manager for Data, you will define and drive data products that are central to the customer and commercial experience. You will own the roadmap for data platforms and products that power personalisation, marketing performance, merchandising, and fulfilment decisions.

You will partner closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science to deliver trusted datasets, metrics, and models (e.g. customer segmentation, demand forecasting), with data quality, governance, and privacy built in by design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the data product vision & strategy: Define how data capabilities enable business goals (e.g. growth, customer experience, merchandising efficiency, fulfilment performance) and translate this into a clear, prioritised roadmap.
  • Own core data products, including:
  • Trusted datasets and data marts (customer, product, orders, inventory, delivery)
  • Dashboards, BI experiences, and self-serve analytics
  • Decisioning and ML-enabled products (recommendations, segmentation, forecasting)
  • Prioritise work using impact and evidence: Lead discovery, quantify value, and prioritise backlog based on expected business impact (e.g. conversion, AOV, retention, availability, delivery speed/cost).
  • Partner with technical teams to deliver: Work day-to-day with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science to define requirements, scope MVPs, manage trade-offs, and ship iteratively.
  • Enable experimentation: Ensure teams can run well-designed A/B tests and causal measurement, with reliable tracking and clear decision-making outputs.
  • Drive data quality, governance, and trust: Own standards for data quality, lineage, documentation, access controls, and privacy compliance.
  • Stakeholder management & change enablement: Align stakeholders across commercial, marketing, product, tech, and operations, and drive adoption through training, communication, and workflows.
  • Operate the product: Track usage, reliability, and performance (freshness, accuracy, uptime), manage incidents or SLAs where relevant, and continuously optimise cost and performance.

About You

  • Product delivery & ownership experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, including:
  • Roadmap ownership and outcome-based delivery
  • Prioritisation and trade-off decision-making
  • Familiarity with Agile ceremonies and sprint delivery
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Strong data & analytics foundation: Background in data-focused roles (e.g. Data Analyst, Analytics Translator, or data-focused Business Analyst), with confidence working across customer, marketing, and commercial datasets.
  • Experience owning data products: Comfortable leading products centred on metrics, datasets, insights, and models rather than UI-first feature delivery.
  • Cross-functional “translator”: Ability to operate at the intersection of Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering, translating technical concepts into clear commercial outcomes.

Highly desirable (nice to have):

  • Experience in segmentation, personalisation, marketing measurement, or customer analytics where data products directly impact revenue, CLV, and marketing efficiency, and/or
  • Experience in AI or agentic systems, including data products that enable automation, intelligent workflows, or AI-driven decisioning.
