Role Overview

Mercor is seeking literature professionals to support a project focused on evaluating narrative comprehension and thematic synthesis for a frontier AI lab. Contributors will assess how well AI systems interpret complex literary elements, including character development and symbolic motifs. This engagement centers on works spanning novels, essays, creative nonfiction, and long-form journalism. Compensation is set at $45/hour for this short-term, project-based opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated responses to literary analysis prompts
• Assess narrative understanding, character tracking, and thematic synthesis
• Provide structured feedback on the accuracy and depth of AI interpretations
• Identify areas where AI systems misinterpret symbolic elements or emotional cues
