More about the Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner - Telehealth & Community role at CARED Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner - Telehealth & Community High Hourly Rates | Choose Your Hours | Australia-wide Join us. Be you. Do your life’s best work here now
Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner – Telehealth and/or Community ($100 - $150* per hour, dependent on experience) Let’s be honest - you didn’t choose this profession to sit in rigid systems, burn out, or feel like “just another provider number.”
You chose it to change lives, do meaningful work, and use your clinical expertise where it actually matters.
That’s where CARED comes in.
(*rates are inclusive of GST) About CARED (aka The Future Of Care) CARED is an innovative health tech ecosystem helping people take control of their health - right now. We connect high-quality clinicians with NDIS participants in real time, matching the right practitioner to the right person, every time.
No cookie-cutter care. No mismatched caseloads. Just thoughtful, human-centred support - powered by smart tech.
We’re growing fast, doing things differently, and building a community of clinicians who want flexibility without compromising quality.
About The Role (where Your Magic Comes In)
We’re looking for experienced, NDIS-registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners who bring both clinical excellence and genuine heart.
These are hybrid roles - combine telehealth from your home (or private professional space) with community-based, face-to-face support where needed.
You’ll work with a diverse and meaningful caseload, including:
- Neurodivergent clients (autism, ADHD)
- Psychosocial disabilities
- Intellectual and physical disabilities
- Participants across the lifespan
We receive referrals for assessments, reports, and ongoing PBS intervention, and we take the time to match you with clients aligned to your experience, interests and preferred demographics.
Previous experience has shown us that participants who have one therapist for an assessment and another for ongoing therapy leads to a negative therapy journey experience and lack of continuity of care therefore at this stage we can only offer roles to those willing to provide assessments + ongoing therapy to our clients.
You’ll never feel like you’re working alone - ongoing client support and a collaborative clinician community are part of the deal.
Why you’ll love working with us
- Flexible hours - you choose when and how much you work
- Work from home and community-based sessions
- Innovative health tech environment (goodbye admin overload)
- Thoughtfully matched clients
Work as little or as much as you want from anywhere in Australia Meaningful, values-driven work that actually makes an impact About You (aka Our Kind Of Human)
You’re confident, compassionate, and clinically sharp. You value autonomy but love being part of something bigger.
You’ll Bring
- Ideally, you have at least 3 years of professional post-graduate experience
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant health or allied health discipline, such as Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech Pathology
- Postgraduate or specialist training in behaviour analysis or Positive Behaviour Support (eg: Graduate Diploma/Master in Applied Behaviour Analysis, NDIS-endorsed PBS courses)
- Professional registration where applicable (ie: AHPRA registration is required if your primary qualification falls under a regulated profession, eg: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology)
- Proficient registration in NDIS Commission to perform PBS work
- Experience working with NDIS participants / people with a disability
- Experience providing online therapy / telehealth / telepractice
And, as an Independent Contractor with CARED, you’ll need:
- Capacity to provide assessments & ongoing therapy. This is not an assessment only role
- A private, professional workspace with reliable internet, camera & mic
- Australian Business Number - ABN
- Appropriate business insurances (Professional Indemnity – PI, and Public liability - PL)
The bottom line
At CARED, we don’t believe flexibility should come at the cost of clinical integrity - or vice versa.
We Believe You Can
- Do work that matters
- Be supported, trusted, and valued
- And still have a life outside your calendar
If you’re ready to work in a way that feels aligned, modern, and genuinely impactful - we’d love to meet you.
