Hatch is looking for sustainability and ESG professionals to support an AI research project with one of our partners through flexible, hourly contract work.

This is not a traditional job. You’ll draw on your hands-on experience in ESG reporting, carbon accounting, and/or environmental compliance to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that helps AI better understand how ESG and sustainability work is done in practice across energy and industrial contexts.

Note: This role is not with Hatch. It is with a partner AI lab.

Key details

  • Start: Immediate
  • Pay: $65 AUD per hour
  • Duration: 3-week project, with the possibility of extension
  • Hours: Up to 40 hours per week; no minimum hours
  • Location: Fully remote, asynchronous schedule

This is a project-based opportunity that can be done alongside research, consulting, teaching, or industry employment.

You will be asked to complete real work tasks in a structured format, independently producing expert-level analytical work using the tools and workflows from your professional practice. This could include reviewing ESG disclosures, validating emissions inventories, assessing compliance-related content, or providing structured feedback on AI-generated sustainability analyses.
