The Investor Relations Specialist plays a key role focusing on building the Company’s reputation, effective issues management and holds a distinct position as the administrator with influence across all lines of corporate communication. The Investor Relations Specialist will play a key role in dealing with the investment community and developing and co-ordinating annual investor relations program, including Half Year and Full Year results roadshows.
This role is a Maximum Term Contract position of 12 months.
The Investor Relations Specialist will be responsible for:
- Develop and co-ordinate annual investor relations program, including Half Year and Full Year results roadshows, equities conferences, strategy day, site visits and ad-hoc investor engagement
- Prepare ASX disclosure materials, including high quality PowerPoint presentations and draft ASX releases
- Support the development of communication strategy around Helia’s strategic initiatives
- Help with the co-ordination and preparation of Annual Sustainability Report and Annual Report.
- Work with various business and head office functions within Helia to gather information for use in presentations, internal forums
- Collaborating with rating agencies to ensure alignment with company objectives and foster strong engagement.
- Designing and be primarily responsible for maintaining a reference Question and Answer pack for use by the IR team in external meetings and by the CEO, CFO and others containing the most up to date analysis of trends and key matters
- Assist in developing target investor list, setting up investor meetings, prepare investor briefing notes and respond to investor questions.
- Arrange domestic roadshows and participation in conferences.
- Undertake share register analysis with help of external provider
- Maintain investor site on corporate website
- Assist in preparing for AGM including Q& A and monitor voting on resolutions
- Undertake financial and competitor financial analysis e.g. (financial, regulatory and broker data).
- Prepare internal communications that have an investor focus including Town Hall scripts.
- Prepare presentation for external investor conferences.
To be successful you will have:
- Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills – an ability to look through data and determine trends
- High level of written and oral communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through presentation materials
- Accountability and proven ability to work to tight deadlines without supervision
- Highly skilled and proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
- A team player prepared to “roll-up-their sleeves” and get the job done
- Degree qualified in Journalism, Communications, Finance, Law or other relevant field
- At least six years of experience
- Strong investor relations experience
- Solid understanding of public company disclosure obligations
- Experience managing and delivering projects from end-to-end
- A strong ability to deal with competing priorities and multi-task
- Ability to adapt quickly to different projects
- Strong performance orientation and focus on results
