Position: Business Development Manager - UK & Ireland

Reporting To: Director of Sales EMEA

Type: Permanent / Full-Time

Location: Remote - United Kingdom

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 PA + Competitive commission structure

Our platform facilitates a range of functionalities, from managing incoming inquiries to enabling live bookings, generating sales proposals and contracts, handling invoices, managing accommodation blocks, overseeing event catering and logistics, and producing operational documentation. We've integrated essential CRM, marketing, and financial management features into our system to streamline operations for our clients.

iVvy is designed to help venues market and manage their function space on any device, anywhere, giving them greater control over their business. iVvy's solution provides venues with everything they need to operate their function space, all in one system.

Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager – UK & Ireland will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, building strong client relationships and meeting sales targets within their designated region. In this role, you will be doing a combination of inbound sales, where you run qualification, discovery calls, product demos, follow-up, negotiation, and close on leads sourced from our marketing team. You will also be expected to focus on proactive prospecting and outbound sales, attending relevant tradeshows and events, establishing rapport and reaching out to organisations you have identified as ideal customers.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in software or SaaS sales, with a passion for technology and innovation. This is a role where your success is what you make of it. To be successful, you will need to get to know your prospects and understand how to develop and uncover the pain that we can solve with our software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to inbound leads to qualify, complete discovery, demo, negotiate and close deals.
  • Network and proactively identify and evaluate new business opportunities to build iVvys brand reputation and customer base within your assigned region.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for your assigned region to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Accountable for building and driving your sales pipeline to achieve your sales revenue targets.
  • Research and develop your own outreach strategies using LinkedIn, in-person events, email, and phone to generate warm leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key regional stakeholders and prospective clients to move them through the sales cycle.
  • Deliver quality product demonstrations to potential customers, in which you identify and highlight their key pain points and how iVvy solutions solve their problems.
  • Utilise the Hubspot CRM system to track opportunities, sales activities and customer interactions. Ensuring you are taking a data-driven approach to your prospecting and that diligent notes are taken to stay on top of your leads.
  • Supporting teams with feedback, insight, and opportunities to elevate our product.

Key competencies:

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a SaaS environment – with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • A self-starter who is dependable and can act quickly and accurately with multiple priorities.
  • A strong focus on solution-selling and detailed discovery to sell to pain points is critical.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of the meeting & event industry or working with similar software (i.e PMS, Sales and Catering, CRM, etc).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with team members, management, and external partners.
  • Experience using CRM software (Hubspot).

  • Willingness to travel to client meetings and industry events.
