Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Staff Accountant. This person will be a critical member of a Finance/Accounting team that will help scale the company by building and fostering key business partnerships across the organization. In order to succeed in this position, you will be a team player, a problem solver and passionate about solving business and financial challenges.
The Staff Accountant role is a remote position supporting a global team. Qualified candidates must live in Cebu or Manila. Responsibilities
- Contribute to the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
- Perform daily cash reconciliations and report on cash activity and other metrics to Accounting and Finance leaders.
- Process accounts payable vendor invoices and appropriately code and enter them into the accounting system.
- Manage new vendor onboarding and be the primary point of contact for our Company’s vendors.
- Evaluate and identify ways to continuously improve the monthly accounting close process through various system and process enhancements.
- Review monthly credit card statements and prepare associated journal entries.
- Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with the business travel and expense policies.
- Assist with the preparation of documentation and support for external financial statement audits and tax compliance.
- Establish and drive business process and financial system improvements that will enable more efficient financial operations and collaboration within the Company.
- Support and help maintain strong internal control policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help with ad-hoc projects as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in Accounting
- Demonstrates strong initiative, sound judgment, and creativity
- High-tech industry experience within SaaS
- Knowledge and experience with NetSuite a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, with strong multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
- Able to thrive in an ambiguous environment
