Job Description

Sitting in Business Services, our Operational Resilience team oversees the firm's Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Program, working with stakeholders to ensure the firm's ability to withstand and recover from disruptions. Our diverse and multidisciplinary team brings together skills in operational resilience, business continuity planning, and stakeholder engagement to review, recommend, and implement strategies to support the firm's resilience. This role is open to Melbourne and Sydney locations.

Your Opportunity

Forming part of the operational resilience team, your role will cover the below responsibilities:

  • Supporting the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the firm's Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Policy, Framework, Strategy, Plans, and related documents.
  • Executing initiatives and projects to enhance operational resilience, aligning with the firm's strategic objectives.
  • Engaging with and supporting senior stakeholders, including State Chairs, Divisional COOs, Partners, and Service Leads, in preparation for, during, and after the response to incidents or disruptive events.
  • Conducting Business Impact Analysis and Operational Risk and Resilience reviews.
  • Facilitating the development, review, and maintenance of response plans and manuals, including business continuity, crisis management, and location response team plans.
  • Designing and delivering incident, crisis, and business continuity exercises, and completing post-exercise reporting to identify and incorporate lessons learned into response plans, training, and awareness.
  • Overseeing and supporting the development, configuration, and maintenance of technology platforms, systems, and websites.

  • Leadership and management skills to lead and manage a team, promote a culture of resilience, and inspire staff.
  • Risk assessment and management expertise to identify, analyze, and evaluate potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Business continuity planning experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining plans.
  • Incident management capabilities to effectively manage incidents, coordinate response efforts, and facilitate recovery.
  • Excellent crisis communications skills, both written and verbal, to convey important information to stakeholders and provide guidance.
  • Regulatory and industry knowledge, including familiarity with APRA CPS 232 and ISO 22301:2019.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications and demonstrable experience.
  • Registration with a relevant industry or professional body (preferred).
