Your Opportunity
Are you an experienced project risk professional with a passion for infrastructure delivery? We’re seeking a Manager – Project Risk and Contingency to lead project risk facilitation and project assurance for some of Australia’s most complex and high-profile projects.
About the Role
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate project risk workshops (both qualitative and quantitative) with senior stakeholders across major infrastructure sectors, including transport, energy, water and wastewater, social infrastructure, etc.
- Deliver qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including cost and schedule risk analysis and contingency modelling
- Develop and implement contingency modelling strategies using industry-leading tools.
- Provide strategic risk insights to support project assurance and governance.
- Translate complex risk data into actionable recommendations for executives and project teams.
- Undertake project health check and assurance across cost estimation, project planning & scheduling, risk and contingency, governance, integrated project controls, systems and tools, document management, etc.
Your Experience
- Proven experience in project risk management within infrastructure sectors such as transport, energy, utilities, or social infrastructure.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Expertise in cost and schedule risk modelling, including Monte Carlo simulation.
- Proficiency in risk software such as @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran Cost & Risk, Acumen Fuse & Risk, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project MSP, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with project controls systems (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and data analytics tools (Power BI desirable).
- Experience in project assurance and governance frameworks is highly regarded
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical), Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Engineers Australia Risk Engineering Society (RES) Contingency Management Professional (CMP), PMI-RMP, AACE, or equivalent) are advantageous.
