Transformation Delivery Practice within KPMG delivers expert project and program management services and have involved in some of Australia’s key transformation programs.

Our National Transformation Delivery Team is growing to meet an increasing demand from a wide range of industries, dedicated to working with our clients as they are facing an unprecedented rate of change presenting them with new challenges and great opportunity. We help organisations design, plan, lead, deliver and assure complex pieces of work. We also provide real-time and prospective trusted advice to our clients for the life of major programs/projects. Job Description

Your Opportunity

As a Senior Consultant, you will have the opportunity to work in various client environments, support the delivery of complex digital and transformation program, and further develop your project management skills.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Working in teams small to medium size teams of high performing KPMG professionals to participate in the planning and support the execution of projects and programs.
  • Reporting to and working closely with experienced project and program management practitioners to establish and maintain value-adding project, program and portfolio governance processes for our clients.
  • Gaining exposure to all aspects of a project and program, through the full program lifecycle, including establishing and managing key documents and processes.
  • Assisting in setting up governance frameworks for transformational programs and Project Management Offices (PMOs) and with communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Taking ownership of small to medium sized work packages.
  • Developing strong client relations and supporting business development opportunities.
  • Establishing and managing key project and program management documents and processes.
  • Developing and supporting project and program performance status reports.
  • Assisting with project and program communication and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

What you bring to the role

If you have experience in delivering transformation projects or in different delivery models such as Waterfall and Agile, this will place you well to work with us. We are also looking for a passionate Team Member who wants to deliver complex projects and program with us.

Skills and experience required include:

  • Experience in a project delivery role, project support role, or project advisory services.
  • Experience in a variety of market sectors would be highly regarded
  • Familiar with project terminology (e.g. design, build, test release) and project documentation.
  • Developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to analysis complex information and summarise and present in a succinct manner.
  • Ability to establish working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and the ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
  • A curious mind and a genuine interest in technology transformation, emerging technology risk and technology advisory practices.
  • Professional certification in methods such as PRINCE2, Agile, PMBOK, Managing Successful Programmes or Management of Portfolios.
  • Knowledge of global frameworks and standards applicable to Project/Program management and/ or Technology Risk is required (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, MSP).
  • A passion for innovation and continually learning about emerging tech and AI.
