Product Designers at Lexer find opportunities to personalise the retail experience through data analytics and surfacing ways for retailers to better engage with their customers. Join our small and evolving design team in defining how we stand up for our users, and iterate towards a polished quality software experience, for the retail space.
What is the role?
A typical day entails translating the intricacies of data science into user-driven jobs to be completed, sketching or wireframing workflows for roadmap features, and gathering feedback from various stakeholders to deliver value to the user quickly.
Product Designers work as an integrated member of the Product team, working alongside many other teams across the business.
What are we looking for?
- Experience building wireframes, user journeys, prototypes, design systems, and component libraries.
- Experience using software design tools (eg. Figma)
- Prior experience using user behavior analytics tools (eg. Mixpanel, Logrocket)
- Familiar with some web development languages like CSS
- An even split of UX & UI skills, with a grasp on areas of Strength and areas where you will require support and guidance
- An interest in participating in user research, customer interviews, usage stats analysis etc
The challenges you’ll face in this role
- A small team with a big scope - we have large ambitions to tackle complicated problems in retail. Picking our battles and finding success quickly is something we’re still learning how to do well.
- We’re building the airplane as we’re flying it - sorting through the noise as we break into uncharted territory is tough but it’s our job to ensure the user’s voice is heard in every conversation.
- We like to move fast -- getting feedback early is key so sometimes we have to find the middle ground in what we create. It might not be perfect but having real people test it is invaluable.
