ABOUT THE ROLE: Production Manager

Working closely with our Head of Production and our international production partners, you will manage the critical path and production schedule end to end, ensuring DIFOT and QA KPIs are achieved.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Order & purchase order creation and confirmation
  • Manage end-to-end sampling approval process and production progress with vendors and Production teams
  • Monitoring factory sampling and production progress & timelines and updating Production & Critical Path schedules
  • Review factory inspection reports and coordinate quality and construction issues with QA Team to identify major and minor faults and decide on acceptance or non-acceptance of shipments
  • Take part in the product development handover process to be across design, construction, materials requirements and communicate the same with factories
  • Coordinate with Compliance Team for product and market-specific requirements to collect from factories
  • Manage claims, credits, returns, late arrival, partial shipments from factories etc
  • Coordinate inspection requirements, QC inspection packs and timelines with internal and external inspection teams to ensure that they are in accordance with LTD quality standards
  • Weekly reporting of production progress - open orders, orders for inspection, orders shipped - with cross-functional teams (Shipping, Merch, Sales, Finance)
  • Audit shipping documents - Invoice & Packing Lists - to ensure that all details are as per Purchase Orders and manage handover to Shipping team
  • Support FOB price negotiation with Head of Production

ABOUT YOU:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Senior level experience in a Production position in the fashion/apparel industry, ideally with experience in baby/toddler wear but not essential
  • Demonstrated experience in review, inspection, reporting and working with Chinese and international manufacturers and QC team
  • End to end critical path management, team leadership and factory management experience
  • Basic knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, fabric performance, testing requirements
  • Excellent knowledge in bulk production management, inspection process and control
  • Outstanding planning skills, high attention to detail, strong commercial skills
  • Strong negotiator and relationship builder, with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual communication skills (written and verbal) in Chinese and English advantageous but not essential
