Love to Dream has now well and truly established the baby sleep category, is the market leader in Australia, and sells over 300 SKUs, in 40+ countries globally. In 2019, Quadrant Private Equity’s Growth Fund invested in Love to Dream, enabling the business to scale up at a significant pace both locally and internationally. As we continue to expand our global presence, we're seeking an experienced, collaborative Garment Tech & QA Manager.

Let’s talk about the role:

Reporting to the Head of Production, this is a pivotal role in our organisation. As Garment Tech & QA Manager, your key responsibility will be to ensure the consistency of quality throughout our manufacturing processes adheres to Love To Dream standards and regulations, drives brand reputation and meets customer expectations. Quality and safety are everything to Love To Dream!

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

Garment Tech

  • Adjust measurements, elements, comfort, and usability throughout the development process.
  • Collaborate with various teams and factories to enhance the overall products, including material suitability and construction alignment.
  • Manage the spec creation for new styles and updating existing styles as needed using 3-Clicks
  • Generate sketches using Adobe Illustrator for all styles with Point of measurements details to enhance spec accuracy.
  • Oversee the audit process to confirm sample qualities from first till to PP in terms of workmanship, specifications, and other technical details to ensure all requirements are being followed correctly.
  • Manage the sample process from the first fit sample till PP approved.
  • Organize sealed samples for inspections.
  • Review shipment samples out of China for both measurements and workmanship via China factories - exclusive.
  • Respond to all product queries in a timely manner.
  • Provide Instruction on garment measurements and construction to facilitate prototype production and collaborate closely with pattern maker and cutters.

QA and Production

  • Review and analysing product returns to ensure they are being monitored.
  • Identify root causes of product returns and discuss actions with internal stakeholders.
  • Determine the most appropriate actions regarding returned garments and implement process.
  • Organize NPD samples and track schedules and progress developments. (Including Fit assessment with cross functional teams).
  • Participate in the involvement of new product developments to ensure Love to Dream focus on quality aspects.
  • Conduct and drive pre-production meetings before production process begins in Vietnam factories.
  • Wearer trial organizing and reporting to management.
  • Participate in in-house baby fittings to ensure products pass QA and are fitted correctly and meet the standards for our customers. Provide management and compliance a post-report on individual baby fitting including photos and feedback.
  • Sample processing manual, common mistake Library, Quality manual, QC workstation, pattern library.

Cross Functional Support

  • Work with the design team to ensure product designs are feasible for production and meet quality standards. Consistently provide input on construction techniques and finishing products.
  • Provide guidance on how to handle customer requests such as measuring garments.
  • Respond to any technical questions or concerns for all factories.

Let's talk about you - qualifications and experience:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

  • A successful track record of garment tech & QA oversight, particularly working with 3rd party factories in SE Asia
  • Experience in the toddler, baby, swimsuit or undergarment production would be highly regarded
  • Strong quality focus and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering the very best products for our consumers
  • Deep understanding of production processes, garment technology and costings is essential
  • Clear communication skills and strong computer skills
  • Proficiency in other Asian languages would be ideal (Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese etc).

Location:

Based in a hybrid office environment in Sydney, with regular travel to Vietnam.
