Role Overview

As our Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and reporting on the company’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards. This role supports financial decision-making by preparing, analysing, and interpreting financial data, and ensures the integrity of financial records for both internal and external reporting purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing month end duties on time and with accuracy
• Providing support to the offshore accounts payable and accounts receivable teams
• Monthly management reporting and variance analysis
• Ensuring tax compliance – GST, Payroll and income tax returns are filed by the respective deadlines
• Support the budgeting & forecasting process
• Audit support
• Ad-hoc projects

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce or similar
• Possess a CA or CPA qualification, or be currently completing the qualification
• Proven experience in corporate accounting within a retail or consumer goods organisation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and within a team, and to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Netsuite is ideal, but not essential
• Experience within a global company and/or international financial reporting would be highly regarded
