As we continue to expand our global presence, we're seeking an experienced, collaborative Garment Tech & QA Manager.
Let’s talk about the role:
Reporting to the Head of Production, this is a pivotal role in our organisation. As Garment Tech & QA Manager, your key responsibility will be to ensure the consistency of quality throughout our manufacturing processes adheres to Love To Dream standards and regulations, drives brand reputation and meets customer expectations. Quality and safety are everything to Love To Dream!
Key responsibilities in this role will include:
Garment Tech
- Manage New Product development (NPD) from material suitability, measurement, grading, sampling and costing. Require knowledge of the Australian & U.S. Standards for Baby & Kids wear.
- Manage Fit Assessment for all product with cross functional team.
- Provide instruction on garment measurements and garment construction to facilitate prototype production and collaborate closely with offshore pattern makers and cutters.
- Oversee the audit process to confirm sample qualities from first sample, pre-production sample to shipment sample in terms of workmanship, specifications, and other technical details to ensure all requirements are being followed correctly.
- Adjust measurements, elements, comfort, and usability throughout the development process.
- Generate sketches using Adobe Illustrator for all styles with Point of measurements details to enhance spec accuracy.
QA and Production
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures
- Establish quality standards and benchmarks for production processes
- Lead and train QC team members to carry out inspections and audits effectively
- Foster a culture of quality within the organisation
- Identify root causes of product returns and discuss actions with internal & external stakeholders.
- Conduct and drive pre-production meetings with offshore factories to mitigate potential issues in bulk.
- Maintain the Quality manual, QC workstation and Pattern library.
- Prepare quality reports for management and stakeholders
Cross Functional Support
Let's talk about you - qualifications and experience:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:
- A successful track record of garment tech & QA oversight, particularly working with 3rd party factories in SE Asia
- Experience in the toddler, baby, swimsuit or undergarment production would be highly regarded
- Strong quality focus and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering the very best products for our consumers
- Deep understanding of production processes, garment technology and costings is essential
- Clear communication skills and strong computer skills
- Proficiency in other Asian languages would be ideal (Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese etc).

Location:
Based in a hybrid office environment in Sydney, with regular travel to Vietnam.
