About Love to Dream
Love to Dream is an award‑winning Australian baby sleepwear brand known for the Swaddle UP arms‑up design. Our products are sold across Australia, the US, UK, EU, and Canada. We are a small, fast‑moving team that values product quality, clear documentation, and modern workflows including AI tools to speed repetitive tasks.
Why we’re hiring
We’re expanding the Sydney Design & Product Development team and are recruiting two separate roles: a hands‑on Junior Design & Product Developer to support day‑to‑day design execution and sample room operations, and a Product Developer to own technical documentation, product development and production handover across global markets. Both roles work closely with the Head of Design & Development and the Product Development Manager in China.
Role summaries:

1. Junior Design & Product Developer
Overview
A hands‑on role at the intersection of design execution, data integrity, and product development. You’ll ensure concepts are backed by accurate PLM data and factory‑ready artwork, and you’ll run the sample room and approval flows.
Key responsibilities
- Execute design work (2D CADs, colourway mock-ups, textile artwork) based on the design direction and prepare factory-ready art files for production.
- Execute PLM system’s data entry — BOMs, style specs, SKU codes, and component records — acting as the single source of truth for the entire business.
- Run the sample room: manage daily operations, maintain the Strike-Off and Lab Dip Library, log incoming samples, and keep everything immaculately organised.
- Manage the colour and print approval flow with the team in China.
- Create and maintain Visual Range Plans that the whole business relies on to track seasonal progress.
- Follow the critical path — proactively prioritise, flag risks early, and ensure every seasonal milestone lands on time.
Who this suits
Candidates with entry level experience in apparel or home goods development, strong Illustrator skills, good Excel ability, and a systems‑first mindset.
